INTRODUCTION

The Department of Facilities Management is a functional unit under Nghe An University, established pursuant to Decision No. 4131/QĐ-UB dated October 31, 1998, of the Nghe An Provincial People’s Committee. It originated as the unit responsible for the facilities of the Nghe An School of Economics and Technology (now Nghe An University). The Department operates in accordance with the regulations and charters for higher education institutions as stipulated in Government Decisions No. 70/2014/QĐ-TTg and No. 205/QĐ-TTg.

With the mission of ensuring a comprehensive physical foundation, the Department of Facilities Management implements the following key activities:

  • Management, maintenance, and upgrading of classrooms, lecture halls, computer labs, laboratories, auditoriums, and auxiliary facilities such as dormitories, swimming pools, and sports fields, ensuring they are fully equipped, safe, and modern.

  • Operation of essential technical infrastructure: electricity, water, air conditioning, fire prevention and fighting (PCCC), sound and lighting systems, projectors, and campus-wide Wi-Fi coverage.

  • Coordination of logistics for events, teaching, and learning: specifically for national defense and security education, including the preparation of training grounds, weaponry, and equipment, as well as accommodation and dining for faculty and students.

  • Development and implementation of internal regulations regarding asset management, economical use of electricity and water, and search and rescue (PCCC-CNCH) in accordance with ISO standards and relevant legal documents.

Our staff, with clearly defined and transparent responsibilities—ranging from technical processing to environmental sanitation, parking management, and academic support—are always ready to accompany and effectively serve the University’s training units, students, and trainees.

The Department of Facilities Management is committed to continuously improving the quality of facilities, promoting innovation, and modernizing the system to serve training, research, and other professional activities at Nghe An University, thereby contributing to building a safe, professional, and effective educational environment.
