Center for Teacher and Educational Manager Training
1. Position and Functions
The Center for Teacher and Educational Manager Training is a unit under Nghe An University, functioning as an advisory and supporting body to the Rector in implementing training and professional development programs for teachers and managers of preschool and primary/secondary education institutions. Additionally, the Center provides training in skills and specialized aptitudes to meet societal demands.
2. Tasks and Powers
2.1. Training and Professional Development a) Advise the Rector on developing annual enrollment plans and quotas for teacher and educational manager training programs in accordance with the standards and requirements of the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET). b) Preside over the development, appraisal, and curriculum design for teacher and educational manager training programs, as well as skill-based and aptitude-based courses. c) Coordinate with relevant academic faculties to compile, appraise, develop, and update training materials, course outlines, and lecture notes to meet MOET requirements. d) Organize professional training courses for teachers and managers of preschool and primary/secondary education institutions according to MOET-issued programs. e) Preside over organizing training programs for professional titles, continuous professional development, advanced skills training, and thematic courses based on assigned plans and the needs of educators. f) Organize enrollment and training, and coordinate with relevant units to issue short-term certificates in education and training for teachers, educational managers, and learners in accordance with regulations. g) Collaborate with educational institutions (preschools, primary schools, secondary schools) and related units to organize training courses for skills and aptitudes to meet societal needs. h) Coordinate with the Department of Science Management and International Cooperation and academic faculties to organize conferences and seminars on pedagogical skill development and teacher training. i) Manage class and learner records in accordance with the law. k) Coordinate with relevant units to verify teaching hours performed at the Center for staff and lecturers to implement payment policies according to regulations. l) Manage the Center’s staff, employees, finances, and assets under the University’s decentralization and current legal regulations. m) Perform other tasks assigned by the Rector.
2.2. Scientific Research and Application a) Coordinate with the Department of Science Management and International Cooperation and academic faculties to organize applied scientific research activities regarding educational management, knowledge development, and the implementation of educational scientific advancements. b) Participate in domestic and international scientific research activities. c) Participate in compiling, appraising, and developing training materials.
2.3. Learner Management Manage learners enrolled in training and professional development courses under the Center’s responsibility in strict accordance with regulations.
2.4. Other tasks Perform other duties as assigned by the Rector.
